The owner of CityBuilders, Gordy Gregg, has been involved with energy conservation programs since the early 1980’s, sponsored by the Bonneville Power Association and administered by the local utilities in King and Snohomish counties.

We were one of the first members when the Master Builders Association launched BuiltGreen in the Northwest.

Gordon Gregg, CBI President, started a sister company called Environmental Homes NW, Inc. We operated this company for 3 years and built 9 BuiltGreen homes in that time. All were 3-Star Homes, which were the highest level at that time. The BuiltGreen Program has added 4-Star and 5-Star levels since then.

We were a bit ahead of the times and shut down EHN. We were running this company with CityBuilders staff and office space, and felt the two companies created redundancy in overhead and paperwork.
